Iceland rocks

2 weeks exploring Iceland's ring road
I recently spent 15 days exploring Iceland with my wonderful SO and a friend of mine. We landed in Keflavík shortly after 9am and were promptly not picked up by our rental car company. We had one data plan on my friend's phone so I had to take a backseat and let her call using a voip service to try and figure out where our driver was to take us to the rental dealership. I gotta say, I'm not a fan of being useless.
We eventually got picked up, rode about 25 minutes to the rental shop which was, how shall I say, quite quaint. We were set up in a nicely dented Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV, and off we went to Reykjavík! We stopped at the first "Bonus" grocery store we saw and got a few supplies, most notably the pinkest salami I've ever seen. Reykjavík was smaller than I expected but that soon became a bit of a theme of everything in Iceland. We hit up a lovely cafe for some hot beverages, I had a nice herbal tea with hand-picked icelandic herbs, but my lady's hot chocolate was much better.
We stopped in a couple expensive souvenir shops, saw the rainbow road, and the Hallgrímskirkja church, which had a pretty impressive pipe organ. We went to the Loki Cafe where my friend tried the fermented shark and definitely convinced me I didn't want to try it. However, the rhye bread icecream was quite good if a bit small (and pricy!) Several tourist shops and a bit of rain later, we made our way to the Lebowski Bar for some $35 white russians!
I'll pick this up later, it's getting pretty late right now.
